Based on the design of the 707, this Poser aircraft is ready to take to the skies... or stay on the ground, whichever best suits your needs.
From Wikipedia:
The 707 aircraft is a four-engine commercial passenger jet airliner developed by in the early 1950`s. Its name is most commonly pronounced as "Seven Oh Seven".

Although it was not the first commercial jet in service, the 707 was among the first to be commercially successful. Dominating passenger air transport in the 1960`s, and remaining common throughout the 1970`s, the 707 is generally credited with ushering in the Jet Age.

The first flight of the first production 707-120 took place on December 20, 1957, and FAA certification followed on September 18, 1958. Production of the passenger 707 ended in 1978. In total, 1,010 707s were built for civil use, though many of these found their way to military service. The purpose-built military variants remained in production until 1991.

Traces of the 707 are still found in the 737, which uses a modified version of the 707`s fuselage, as well as essentially the same external nose and cockpit configuration as the 707.

The VC-137C variant of the [707] was a special-purpose design meant to serve as Air Force One, the secure transport for the President of The United States of America. These models were in operational use from 1962 to 1990.

    Aircraft 737 (for Poser)

Based on the design of the 737, this Poser aircraft is ready to take to skies... or stay on the ground, whichever best suits your needs.
    From Wikipedia:
The 737 is a short to medium range, single aisle, narrow body jet airliner. Originally developed as a shorter, lower-cost twin-engine airliner derived from the 707 and 727, the 737 has nine variants with the -600, -700, -800 and -900 currently in production.

Originally envisioned in 1964, the 737 first flew in 1967, and entered airline service in February 1968. The 737 series is the best selling jet airliner in history.

Engines on the 737 series appear not to have circular inlets, as most aircraft do. This was done because the 737 sits lower to the ground than most airliners.

This model is based on the design of the 737-800, which includes "winglets" on the ends of the main wings. From Wikipedia:
A winglet (or wingtip device) is a near-vertical extension of the wing tips. Wingtip devices are usually intended to improve the efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft. There are several types of wingtip devices, and though they function in different manners, the intended effect is always to reduce the aircraft`s drag by altering the airflow near the wingtips. Such devices increase the effective aspect ratio of a wing without materially increasing the wingspan.

    Airliner 717 (for Poser)

Based on the design of the 717, this Poser aircraft is ready to take to skies... or stay on the ground, whichever best suits your needs.
    From Wikipedia:
The 717 is a twin-engine, single-aisle jet airliner, developed for the 100-seat market. The airliner was originally designed and marketed as the MD-95, a third-generation derivative of the DC-9.

Like its DC-9/MD-80/MD-90 predecessors, the 717 has a 2+3 seating arrangement in coach, providing only one middle seat per row, whereas other single-aisle twin jets often have 3+3 arrangement with two middle seats per row.

The first 717 planes entered service in 1999, and production ceased in May 2006 after 156 units were produced.

    Airliner 727 (for Poser)

Based on the design of the 717, this Poser aircraft is ready to take to skies... or stay on the ground, whichever best suits your needs.
    From Wikipedia:
The 727 is an American mid-size, narrow-body, three-engine, T-tailed commercial jet airliner. The first 727 flew in 1963 and for over a decade it was the most produced commercial jet airliner in the world. When production ended in 1984, a total of 1,831 aircraft had been produced. The 727`s sales record for the most jet airliners ever sold was broken in the early 1990s by its younger stablemate, the 737.

The 727 was produced following the success of the 707 quad-jet airliner. Designed for short-haul routes, the 727 became a mainstay of airlines` domestic route networks. A stretched variant, the 727-200, debuted in 1967. In August 2008, there were a total of 81 727-100 aircraft and 419 727-200 aircraft in airline service.

The 727 was designed to be used at smaller, regional airports, so independence from ground facilities was an important requirement. This gave rise to one of the 727`s most distinctive features: the built-in airstair that opens from the rear underbelly of the fuselage. D. B. Cooper, a hijacker, parachuted from the back of a 727 as it was flying over the Pacific Northwest.

The Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, also known as `Con Air`, currently uses four 727 aircraft to transport persons in legal custody between prisons, detaining centers, courthouses, and other places where they must be transported.
