Product Description A roundhouse is a building used by railroads for servicing locomotives. Roundhouses are large, circular or semicircular structures that were traditionally located surrounding or adjacent to turntables. The defining feature of the traditional roundhouse was the turntable, which facilitates access when the building is used for repair facilities or for storage of steam locomotives. (from Wikipedia) In many roundhouses, the center turntable was engineered so precisely that two men could turn a fully-loaded locomotive and coal tender with a moderate amount of effort. Most enclosed, circular roundhouses aren`t actually round, but are in fact a 22-sided polygon. The measurements for this model have been "fudged" slightly: it`s 24-sided so the rails leading out of the buildings could be spaced every 45 degrees. -Main turntable in the center of the building can rotate (with ERC dial on the BODY). -Sixteen doors can open and close. Each doors has its limits set and can be opened inwards. This roundhouse is perfectly scaled to both the Poser people and the train cars found in the Train Set 1 and Train Set 2 products. In fact, the center turntable was designed to fit the longest car, the Electric Car in the Train Set 2. The rails are the exact same size (height and width) as the existing rails found in both Train Sets and the Rail Set. Simply add a section of rail to the scene, move it on the x-axis and z-axis (and rotate where needed) and you have yourself an entire rail yard. The size of the Roundhouse Train Station makes it perfect for interior scenes: there is plenty of room to move the camera around and see everything. For exterior scenes, you can pull the camera back or resize the station. Two camera presets and a light set are included to get you started.
