Product Description   The Thunderlifter is a large cargo carrier built for shifting heavy loads between orbiting carriers and planetary surfaces, or for point-to-point transport on a world`s surface. With mixed cycle engines capable of operating as rockets or jets it is a well specified craft, able to carry 110 Metric tonnes on a VTOL mission and 140 tonnes when runways are available. The ship was designed by a joint Kudai and human team, and is intended to be operated by both humans and Kudai without modification. It has a medium orbit capability and can transport a full load to planet`s surface, reload and return to orbit without refueling. For orbital stand-by the ship has a 48 hour air supply for 124 people or 1,984 hours with a standard crew of 3 and a cargo load. The air can be replenished from the jet intakes when in atmospheric flight and this takes only nine minutes, or twenty minutes if contamination filtering is required. This model has the following features: Detailed cockpit with ambient illuminated screens Interior and exterior doors that open Engines swivel for orbital braking and V/STOL operation Tail turret with multi-barrel cannon Highly detailed textures for close-up use or large renders The large size of the Thunderlifter makes it realistically possible to put two large vehicles in the cargo bay or several smaller ones. The ship is large enough and detailed enough to withstand close-up use and will render well in a wide range of lighting. The shape is realistic and aerodynamic, with undercarriage that looks heavy enough to take a significant weight. .: Product Features :. Two versions of the aircraft are included, one in the flight mode, and one with the tail doors open, landing gear down and engines rotated for vertical take-off. When the model loads, just delete the one you do not want to use in your scene. A detailed and textured model. Contains materials for retexturing and groups for animation.
