From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley-Davidson

The Harley-Davidson, Inc. is an American manufacturer of motorcycles based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It is one of the two remaining American mass-producers of motorcycles (along with Victory). The company emphasizes heavy bikes designed for cruising on the highway and known for their distinctive exhaust note.

Harley motorcyle model designation are a sequence of letters and numbers, depending on the feature and styling of the motorcyle. These model designations include Sportser, Dyna, Softail, Touring, and VRSC or Revolution.

This model, the EL 1936, roughly translates to mean: Model E, L (for Hydra Glide Forks), released in 1936. Though, the company itself doesn`t always stick to this convention of naming motorcyles.

.: Product Features :.

  • Model built entirely with 3-sided polygons.
  • Rotating front and rear wheels
  • Steerable front wheel (with ERC dial on the BODY).

Harley Davidson FLSTF Fatboy (for Poser)

Harley-Davidson Motor Company is an American manufacturer of motorcycles based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company sells heavyweight (over 750 cc) motorcycles designed for cruising on the highway. Harley-Davidson motorcycles (popularly known as "Harleys") have a distinctive design and exhaust note. They are especially noted for the tradition of heavy customization that gave rise to the chopper-style of motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson attracts a loyal brand community, with licensing of the Harley-Davidson logo accounting for almost 5% of the company`s net revenue ($41 million in 2004). Harley-Davidson supplies many American police forces with their motorcycle fleets.

The "Sturgis" model, boasting a dual belt-drive, was introduced in 1990. By 1990, with the introduction of the "Fat Boy", Harley once again became the sales leader in the heavyweight (over 750 cc) market. At the time of the Fat Boy model introduction a story rapidly spread that its silver paint job and other features were inspired by the World War II American B-29 bomber; and that the Fat Boy name was a combination of the names of the atom bombs (Fat Man and Little Boy) that were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima respectively. However, the Urban Legend Reference Pages lists this story as an urban legend.

Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle (for Poser)

The touring family, also known as "dressers", includes three Road King models and five Glide models offered in various trim. The Road Kings have a "retro cruiser" appearance and most models are equipped with a large clear windshield. Road Kings are reminiscent of big-twin models from the 1940s and `50s. Glides can be identified by their full front fairings. Most Glides sport a unique fairing referred to as the "Batwing" due to its unmistakable shape. The Road Glide has a different front end, referred to as the "Sharknose". The Sharknose includes a unique, dual front headlight.

Touring models are distinguishable by their large saddlebags (usually with a top box as well), rear coil-over air suspension and are the only models to offer full fairings with Radios/CBs. All touring models use the same frame, first introduced with a Shovelhead motor in 1980, and carried forward with only modest upgrades until 2009, when it was extensively redesigned. The frame is distinguished by the location of the steering head in front of the forks and was the first H-D frame to rubber mount the drivetrain to isolate the rider from the vibration of the big V-twin. Although all touring models weigh in excess of 800 lb (360 kg), they are remarkably easy to handle at low speeds and high, and give the most comfortable and relaxing ride of any Harley.

The frame was modified for the 1994 model year when the oil tank went under the transmission and the battery was moved inboard from under the right saddlebag to under the seat. In 1997, the frame was again modified to allow for a larger battery under the seat and to lower seat height. In 2007, they introduced the 96 cubic inch motor, as well the 6 speed transmission to give the rider better speeds on the highway.

In years past, these touring models have become favorites with several local, and state police agencies, such as the Chicago Police Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Iowa State Patrol, and several others.

    .: Product Features :.

  • The model is a figure with controls on the BODY tab
  • The front fork is steerable
  • The rotation of both wheels is controlled with one dial.
  • The kick stand can be animated
  • The park dial leans the bike and extends the kick stand
  • The product includes MAT poses (pz2) and Material Collection Files (mc6) to change the number plates and some of the texture details.
  • The model is scaled to Poser figures, and is UV mapped and textured.
Indian Chief 348 1948 (for Poser)

The first 1922 model Chief had a 1000 cc (61ci) engine based on that of the Powerplus; a year later the engine was enlarged to 1200 cc (73ci). Numerous improvements were made over the years, including adoption of a front brake in 1928.

In 1940, all models were fitted with the large skirted fenders that became an Indian trademark, and the Chief gained a new sprung frame that was superior to rival Harley`s unsprung rear end. The 1940s Chiefs were handsome and comfortable machines, capable of 85 mph(136 km/h) in standard form and over 100 mph (160 km/h) when tuned, although their increased weight hampered acceleration.

In 1950, the V-Twin engine was enlarged to 1300 cc (80ci) and telescopic forks were adopted. But Indian`s financial problems meant that few bikes were built, and production of the Chief ended in 1953.

Recognition of the historical significance of this model was made with a August 2006 United States Postal Service 39-cent stamp issue, part of a four panel set entitled American Motorcycles.
