Autonomous Combat Walker with M4 Pilot Support
The R-9 Assault Walker was designed for hostile planetary environments where conventional vehicles could not survive. Its multi-jointed mechanical legs allow it to cross rough terrain, climb debris, and maintain stability where wheeled vehicles would fail.
Originally developed as an autonomous military platform, the R-9 was later modified to accommodate a human operator inside its armored central cockpit. The enclosed pilot compartment allows a Michael 4 (M4) figure to be placed directly inside the machine, turning the R-9 into a fully crewed combat walker.
Built for reconnaissance, frontier security, and heavy assault operations, the R-9 can carry its pilot deep into dangerous territory while its integrated weapon systems provide protection against hostile forces.

Story
When the first R-9 colonies expanded beyond the protection of their main domes, engineers needed a machine capable of surviving terrain too dangerous for ordinary vehicles.
The R-9 became that machine.
Its original autonomous control system could perform reconnaissance and patrol missions without risking human lives. But frontier pilots soon discovered that direct control offered something the autonomous system could not provide—instinct, improvisation, and the ability to react to an unknown environment.
The cockpit was redesigned, and the R-9 became a compact walking combat vehicle capable of carrying a single pilot into the most dangerous regions of the colony.
For frontier crews, the R-9 earned a simple nickname:
"The Iron Walker."
"When the road ends, we keep walking."
